All games will be played at Springtown Intermediate School, in the field in between SIS and SMS, across from the gravel parking lot. NO DOGS ALLOWED!!

What Equipment will my Player Need?

JEWELRY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED FOR SAFETY REASONS. NO EARRINGS, BRACELETS, OR NECKLACES WILL BE ALLOWED.

NEWLEY PIERCED EARS MUST HAVE BANDAIDS OVER THE EARRING. NO EXCEPTIONS.

PARENTS/COACHES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR BANDAIDS FOR COVERING PIERCED EARS.

SHIN GUARDS- Players can NOT play without them, must be worn UNDER soccer socks.

CLEATS- Not required but recommended.

Cleats have to be soccer cleats.

Football or baseball cleats are not allowed due to safety reasons.

(SSA HAS A SOCCER CLEAT DONATION PROGRAM IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF A PAIR OF CLEATS)

Soccer Ball- HIGHLY RECCOMENT EACH PLAYER HAS THEIR OWN BALL

Water Bottle- Mandatory, keep your player hydrated for their health and safety.

Who Can Coach?
YOU!! You can coach!

Coaches will be volunteers, including parents, guardians, family members, and sometimes SHS Varsity players.

If you are interested in coaching a team, please indicate your interest on the registration form.

FREE COACHING CLINICS will be offered to help those who may want/need some help getting started.

Age Groups
We are excited to offer soccer to boys and girls for ages 4U (DEPENDING ON NUMBER OF SIGN UPS, WE NEED ENOUGHT TO MAKE AT LEAST 4 TEAMS), 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U & 14U (MUST BE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL OR YOUNGER, NOT ALLOWED TO PLAY FOR US IF THE PLAYER IS IN 9TH-12TH GRADES, HOMESCHOOL INCLUDED).

The age of a player for purpose of league play shall be the player's age on December 31 of the current soccer year.

The current soccer year begins on September 1 and ends August 31 of the following year. Exception: If allowed by the Member Association playing rules, players who turn three (3) years of age during the soccer year will be eligible to play when they turn three (3) if registration is available.

If your child falls in an odd year age group they will play up to the next highest age group (IE U7 will play in U8).
These age groups are our typical groups. We will have others based off the number of kids registered in each age group.

What is SSA?
Springtown Soccer Association (SSA) is a youth soccer league serving Springtown and surrounding communities.

GAME CANCELATION POLICY
Texas weather is unpredictable, at best. If there are any games cancelled due to bad weather conditions we will do our best to reschedule the games during the allotted 'BYE' week we have scheduled in for the season.

We use SISD fields and have to follow their guidelines for field use, which includes preserving the fields during inclement weather. This includes practice days on school fields, not just game days.

SSA will guarantee ONE bad weather make up game for all age groups, we cannot guarantee more than one game will be made up.

For U 14, U 12, and U 10, we will do our best to accommodate ONE additional make up game (MAX 2 MAKE UP GAMES PER SEASON)..... please be aware if a 2nd game is cancelled due to weather your make-up game options, due to referee availability,

will be LIMITED.

IF POSSIBLE MAKE UP GAMES WILL BE PLAYED ON THE "BYE" WEEK WE SCHEDULED IN, BUT YOUR MAKE UP GAME MAY HAPPEN DURING THE WEEK DAYS, OR THERE MAY BE A DOUBLE HEADER ON A SATURDAY. WE ONLY HAVE LIMITED TIME AND OPTIONS FOR MAKE UP GAMES.

YOU WILL BE GIVEN TWO OPTIONS FOR YOUR MAKE UP GAMES, PER REF AVAILABLITY, AND IF YOUR TEAM IS NOT AVAILABLE ON THE OFFERED MAKE UP GAMES YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR MAKE UP GAME.

Spring Season
Our spring registration will open every year on approximately Dec. 15th and close in mid February.

Specific sign up days are subject to change.

Spring Season registration is open during Christmas time, if you are in need of a gift idea for a child.

Our spring season will start the first Saturday back AFTER spring break. This will get the season done before graduations start.

Each season will be 9 weeks total, with 8 scheduled games and one BYE week scheduled in for potential make up games (if needed per weather).

Fall Season
Our fall registration will open approximately around July 4th and usually WILL last until mid August.

Specific registration dates are subject to change.

Our fall season starts the Saturday after the Wild West Festival Springtown puts on each year (located on the square).

Each season will be 9 weeks total, with 8 scheduled games and one BYE week scheduled in for potential make up games (if needed per weather).

NO DOGS ALLOWED.

GAMES ARE PLAYED ON SISD PROPERTY- SSA ADHERES TO THEIR RULES AND GUIDELINES.

IF YOU BRING A DOG,

YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

Make sure to get your player signed up before the registration window closes to get them on a team, no exceptions.

We close registration one month prior to start of season, every season, in order to accommodate enough time to have the draft, order jerseys, get practices started, and get the fields prepped.

We now offer payment plans for those who register early!

Parents and Guardians, please continue to provide any pertinent information to our staff and/or coaches in the "Comments or Special Request" section of the registration form.

You may include information regarding medical conditions, allergies, and/or specific days your child may be unable to practice due to other ingagements, for example, church on Wednesdays.
You are still welcome to include buddy requests, ride-share requests or coach requests as well but please understand these may or may not be honored.

Siblings being on the same team (if they are close enough in age) is the only GUARENTEE when it comes to teams.

It is up to our coaches during draft to accommodate these IF they are able.
